Bosch Rexroth, the Drive & Control Company, has launched an online Linear Motion Resource Center, providing Rexroth linear motion customers with easy access to its most popular linear motion resources. The site features product configuration tools, technical documents, product updates and other useful information.

Among the linear motion tools, a new 3D Configurator for Linear Modules and Cartesian Systems has been integrated with the Online Catalog for Linear Motion Technology on Rexroth’s global web site, and features a more user-friendly navigation and a more stable software platform. All 3D CAD Generator links lead directly to the Online Catalog, where the user can choose a product, configure the specifications, and produce a 3D model in the format of their choice. For solid models of individual products and components, the Resource Center also offers a library of 3D and 2D CAD files and solid models, backed by SolidWorks’ 3DPartStream Technology. With this tool, solid models can be downloaded easily in almost any format.

The site also features the newest linear motion products from Rexroth, such as the Electromechanical Cylinder (EMC), a contained precision rolled ball screw actuator designed to provide high thrust/speed capability with greater flexibility and control to applications traditionally using Hydraulic and/or Pneumatic cylinders.

The Resource Center allows users to easily take advantage of Rexroth’s GoTo Focused Delivery Program, which is designed to provide fast delivery of the most popular linear motion products.

Dozens of catalogs and brochures are also linked from the new online resource, for quick access to catalogs for ball rail and roller rail systems, ball screws, linear modules, linear bushings, Cartesian systems and more. Downloadable white papers and instructional materials are only a click away, too, with topics such as “Total Cost of Ownership” and Rexroth’s popular “LOSTPED” article on sizing and selecting linear motion products. Of particular interest to design engineers, the site also features all 350 pages of Rexroth’s Linear Motion Technology Handbook, an engineering reference work with calculations and design details presented in an informative, non-commercial format.
