Pressure regulator minimizes contamination

IR4000 Series pressure regulator has no internal threads, minimizing the risk of particulate contamination. A dual screen/filter further enhances performance. The screen is a 100-micron wire mesh and the filter is a 10-micron sintered metal element in the inlet port. It uses a compression member to secure the poppet in place. Calibrator operates with or without PDA

PDA calibrators use commercially available personal digital assistants (PDAs) for a common interface with an intuitive touch screen, eliminating the need for buttons and knobs. The calibrators can source and read common process signals. The PDA can be used independently of the calibrator backpacks. Data may be shared with a desktop computer for reports or a certification of calibration. Transmation Products Group;

Annual Salary Survey

Before the calendar turned, 2016 already had the makings of a pivotal year for manufacturing, and for the world.

There were the big events for the year, including the United States as Partner Country at Hannover Messe in April and the 2016 International Manufacturing Technology Show in Chicago in September. There's also the matter of the U.S. presidential elections in November, which promise to shape policy in manufacturing for years to come.

But the year started with global economic turmoil, as a slowdown in Chinese manufacturing triggered a worldwide stock hiccup that sent values plummeting. The continued plunge in world oil prices has resulted in a slowdown in exploration and, by extension, the manufacture of exploration equipment.
