Continuous thermal monitor

ExerTherm system uses small, inexpensive infrared sensors, which require no power, to thermally monitor switchgear components continually by placing sensors inside the switchgear enclosure. The signal is fed back through data acquisition cards to a remote PC. Exergen Corp. exergen.com Write 331 on PE card

Fiber optic infrared sensors

OS1562 and OS1572 are stand-alone fiber optic infrared sensors for noncontact temperature measurement applications. The sensors are used where conventional infrared detectors are not possible. Selection criteria include the distance between the fiber optic probe lens and the measured surface, object size, temperature range, ambient temperature, and fiber optic cable length.
