The PTAS2 is an industrial grade sensor that has been tested to withstand the harsh conditions which make it suited for a wide range of applications such as factory automation machines and robotics, mobile cranes, draw bridges, adjustable platforms and off-highway construction equipment.

The PTAS2 series is available with three different absolute analog outputs: 0.5-5 V, 0.5-10 V and 4-20 mA with a typical resolution of 0.1°. The measurement range is available from ±15° to ±180° in 15° increments. The compact 36 mm diameter housing with servo flange mounting allows for quick and easy installation.

Since the PTAS2 is based upon wear-free, multi-Hall Effect position sensor technology, it offers significantly increased reliability in extreme environments. The PTAS2 is tested to withstand 100 g shocks and 20 g, 10 Hz-2 kHz vibration.

Other features include:

  • Protection class IP67/IP69K
  • Wear free, magnetic measurement principle
  • Redundant second channel as option
  • 336 mm housing
