Filter housing cover opens quickly

Quick Access Cover (QAC) filter housings feature a clamp-style cover that is quick and easy to open and close. The cover significantly reduces bag or cartridge changeout time from 15-25 min. to 5-15 sec. The venting system ensures the cover cannot be opened unless internal pressure is released. The cover reduces operating height, eliminating ladders and platforms. Rosedale Products, Inc.; rosedaleproducts.com

      Pump combines technologies

MagMax is a unique combination of the best features of canned motor pumps and magnet drive pumps. It blends the motor and containment concept (secondary containment) with the efficiency, simplicity, and site serviceability of the magnet drive pump. The compact pump rotates at synchronous speed, unaffected by pump load. This makes the motor efficient and increases flow. Sundyne Corp., HMD/Kontro Div.; www.sundyne.com

Annual Salary Survey

Before the calendar turned, 2016 already had the makings of a pivotal year for manufacturing, and for the world.

There were the big events for the year, including the United States as Partner Country at Hannover Messe in April and the 2016 International Manufacturing Technology Show in Chicago in September. There's also the matter of the U.S. presidential elections in November, which promise to shape policy in manufacturing for years to come.

But the year started with global economic turmoil, as a slowdown in Chinese manufacturing triggered a worldwide stock hiccup that sent values plummeting. The continued plunge in world oil prices has resulted in a slowdown in exploration and, by extension, the manufacture of exploration equipment.
