Drum pump controls flow

GoatThroat hand-operated drum transfer pump is small, versatile, and safe for use with more than 600 liquids including the most commonly used industrial chemicals and lubricants. A few strokes of the plunger pressurizes any container from 1-5 psi to produce a flow rate of about 5 gpm. A two-way, drip-proof faucet allows dispensing small amounts of liquid or a steady flow. Reactor handles grease and odors

Bio Ox grease and odor reactor systems feature an in-ground reactor, five-chamber separator and 10 technologies to physically, biologically, and chemically break down grease into long chain food sources for traditional sewer treatment system digestion. A photohydroionization advanced oxidation cell also controls odor and airborne bacteria. RGF Environmental Group, Inc. ; rgf.com TO VOTE, WRITE 108 ON BALLOT For more information, write 108 on card

Refrigerant hose holds shape

Titeflex Refrigeration Loop (TRL) is a lightweight, low effusion, low pressure, hand formable transfer hose assembly for refrigerants, natural gas, and hazardous fluids. A unique technology permanently bonds a metallic layer of foil to Teflon. Braze adapters are supplied with the tubing for field installation. Once installed, the tube may be replaced with wrenches. Funnel prevents drum overfill

Drum Overfill Preventer simply screws onto the threads of a funnel which then threads into the bung opening of a drum. The design creates a 2 3/4-in. deep airspace inside the drum, causing liquid to fill the funnel, indicating the drum is full. When the preventer assembly is loosened, the liquid in the funnel flows into the drum, filling it with no spillage. Annual Salary Survey

After two years of economic concerns, manufacturing leaders once again have homed in on the single biggest issue facing their operations:

It's the workers—or more specifically, the lack of workers.

The 2017 Plant Engineering Salary Survey looks at not just what plant managers make, but what they think. As they look across their plants today, plant managers say they don’t have the operational depth to take on the new technologies and new challenges of global manufacturing.
