The Industrial Automation Group of Advantech offers a 15-in. touch panel computer with Intel Atom processor designed to operate in very low and very high temperatures.

The Energy Star compliant TPC-1551H has been designed to work in temperatures as low as -20 C (-4 F) and as high as 60 C (140 F), said to be ideal for machine and factory automation and power and energy industries. The unit is very thin at 58 mm (2.29-in.) to allow installation in areas that will not allow for thicker panels.

Added protection against dust is provided by a new gasket between the touch screen and the metal bezel and protection against electrical shorts, surges and ground loops is provided by 2 KV isolation protection on the serial ports. There is also a HDD bracket kit that can be purchased separately to allow the installation of any standard hard drive unit.

Since the TPC-1551H uses standard PC architecture it can support Microsoft Windows 7, Windows XP embedded, WinCE and Linux, making it suitable for integrating with existing machinery and systems.
