Contactor-based automatic transfer switch
Eaton's contactor-based Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) is rated for 2000 to 3000 A and is designed to shift power loads from a normal power source to the emergency source.
Eaton’s contactor-based Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) is rated for 2000 to 3000 A power applications and is designed for emergency power systems. The ATS is designed to shift power loads from a normal power source to the emergency source. This permits critical loads to continue running with minimal or no outage in these events. The contactor-based ATS is specifically engineered for applications from 2000 to 3000 A. Features include short-time (85kA), short-circuit (100kA), and fuse (200kA) withstand close-on ratings meet a wide variety of requirements. It also has an isolated control compartment enhances physical safety for operators and service personnel and a maintenance isolation switch (MIS) that allows operators to electrically isolate the control compartment to facilitate maintenance and maximize uptime. It also has a dual-operator, stored energy switching mechanism that allows for manual operation under load providing redundancy. It has a tethered control that allows the operator to remotely initiate a transfer between sources and an interlock for lock-out/tag-out (LOTO).
