ELITE High Capacity Coriolis Meter — The CMFHC4M is the largest Coriolis flow meter available for measuring accurate mass, volume, density, and temperature of both liquid and gaseous fluids. This is a Control Engineering 2011 Engineers' Choice (EC) nominee. The latest Micro Motion Elite Coriolis meter covers DN250-DN300 (10 to 12 in.) line sizes and can handle flow rates up to 3,266,000 kg/hour. This new meter adds to the existing DN2-DN200 (1/10 to 8 in.) Elite line size range, enabling Emerson to deliver the industry's broadest Coriolis offering. Some key features of this new meter include: ± 0.1% of reading flow / mass measurement over a wide turndown; Flow measurement that is not impacted by changing fluid properties or flow profiles; Sustained measurement performance with a no  mechanical parts; No need for pipe runs and flow conditioners; Full stream density measurement for confirmation of API gravity and product quality; Enhanced performance under entrained gas situations. Coriolis flow sensors have been successfully incorporated into a wide range of dynamic blending applications. The release of the latest Micro Motion Elite High Capacity Coriolis (CMFHC4) meter expands the use of Coriolis technology into a number of extreme high flow capacity applications such as heavy fuel oil, crude oil, and finished motor fuel on-line blending. 

Blending heavy fuel oil, crudes, or gasoline to target specifications is challenging due to the wide range of refined products used as feed stock, fluctuations in feed stock quality / availability and varying fluid properties. Micro Motion CMFHC4M provides accurate volume / mass flow measurements without being impacted by secondary variables such as fluid changes in density, viscosity and composition. Micro Motion Coriolis technology is widely accepted in managed pressure drilling systems and the addition of the Elite CMFHC4 to the High Capacity product line expands the capability to utilize this technology on conventional drilling operations. Elite High Capacity Coriolis meters such as the CMFHC4M, are field proven for drilling fluids management applications to help: Reduce non-productive time; Increase drilling efficiency with more accurate data; Reduce risk through early kick and lost circulation detection; Reduce formation damage with improved well bore pressure control.

Annual Salary Survey

Before the calendar turned, 2016 already had the makings of a pivotal year for manufacturing, and for the world.
