Eaton’s ePDU third-generation (G3) platform balances technological innovation with functionality and cost. The ePDU G3 features a patent-pending IEC outlet grip designed to eliminate the common and costly problem of plugs falling out of IEC outlets due to bumps or vibrations. The grip can help eliminate additional expenses related to cable trays or special power cords, which can increase rack PDU purchase costs up to 50%. The grip feature pairs with energy-efficient technology aimed at reducing cooling costs and extending the life of hardware for added reliability. The ePDU G3’s high operating temperature (up to 140 F) helps meet new temperature guidelines for cooling set by ASHRAE.

Live data remote access software

The Power Xpert Multi-Point meter helps facilities of all sizes increase the effectiveness of energy management programs. The product offering was expanded with an Energy Portal Module, which incorporates a built-in Web server for remote access to view live data and graphical trending displays without the need for additional software. Shown in the Web portal is a dashboard view that displays the load trend of “this week versus last week.” Also included is a summary table of energy values and live energy and voltage values per phase. Trended and graphed phase voltages, phase currents, and power factor metrics are also available for individual and system meters.

Power, energy monitoring software

Power Xpert Insight is a power and energy monitoring software that helps industrial facilities proactively reduce energy consumption, control costs, and improve reliability by providing a comprehensive, real-time view into power and energy information. In addition to real-time monitoring, the software allows users to view and compare trends from any number of channels across all devices. With the click of the mouse, users can generate bar charts or line graphs from the collected data, and configure data collection parameters over time to meet the needs of evolving energy management programs. That energy data can then be downloaded as a CSV-format file for deeper analysis.

Double conversion UPS

Mitsubishi’s 9900C provides more than 1 MW of power in a single UPS. Modular in design, the 9900C is capable of providing redundancy up to 700 kW in a single enclosure. Delivering up to 97% efficiency, it is the first true on-line double-conversion UPS at this power level to deliver the highest efficiency at all load levels. In addition, it is smaller in size and lighter in weight than competing products. The 9900C can be paralleled with up to eight units for capacity or N+1 redundancy and delivers the highest power density per sq ft of floor space. The 9900C UPS features an intuitive LCD touchscreen, providing quick access to system measurements, diagrams, and alarm status.

Variable refrigerant flow zoning system

The Hyper-Heating Inverter (H2i) R2-Series variable refrigerant flow zoning system uses patented flash injection technology to provide up to 100% heating capacity at 0 F, simultaneous cooling and heating at -4 F, and 85% capacity at -13 F. The system’s ability to meet extreme conditions without backup heat sources enables year-round operation without reliance on fossil fuels, saving installation time, improving energy efficiency, and reducing the space needed to accommodate mechanical systems. The unique two-pipe configuration and compact system components allow for convenient applications to both retrofits and new building construction.

Dock shelter

In a single piece of equipment, the Eclipse dock shelter provides a tight, consistent seal all the way up trailer sides, across the top, and at the corners. On the sides of the trailer, durable GapMaster hooks wrap around swing-open trailer doors, sealing the gaps created by the door hinge—gaps that amount to more than 2.5 sq ft of open air if left unsealed. The hooks are constructed of a rugged, premium material for extreme durability, and are wrapped with a flexible vinyl sleeve that conforms around the hinges for a better seal. Side curtains are built with high-strength Durathon fabric, which features a unique, friction-resistant surface to resist wear.
