The Baldor Super-E motor with Baldor Shaft Grounding Brush is a NEMA Premium electric motor that can operate efficiently and effectively on a variable speed drive while reducing the potential for premature bearing failure caused by internal shaft currents. The compact yet robust carbon brush design is mounted internally to the motor, removing the potential for contamination or damage from the outside environment, while providing a solid connection from the rotating shaft to ground. This line of motors, available from stock, includes 1 to 50 hp totally enclosed fan-cooled (TEFC) or open drip-proof, foot-mounted designs, along with 0.5 to 5 hp TEFC, C-face foot-mounted designs.

Scalable servo drive

The Rexroth IndraDrive CL/ML is a scalable, energy-efficient high-power electric drive for applications requiring more force, including metalforming, plastics, metallurgy, marine, and offshore. These drives are optimized for efficiency and function according to machine demand, with numerous opportunities for energy recovery. In multi-axis systems, the drives enable the use of braking energy via a dc-bus coupling whereby excess energy can be fed back into the network. The drives also include the ability to store static and rotational energy, with Smart Energy Mode functionality that manages a consistent energy demand from the mains side to save energy and avoid voltage spikes.

Remote switch actuator

The CBS ArcSafe RSA-161A remote switch actuator allows technicians to remotely operate the Schneider class 9421 type L circuit breaker mechanism with the short 3-in. handle from a distance of up to 300 ft while stationed outside of the arc-flash perimeter. The RSA-161A is compatible with all 3-in. handle versions of the type L circuit breaker mechanism that operates circuit breakers or interrupters of 75 to 250 A at up to 600 V. The RSA-161A is lightweight, portable, and ideal for remote operation in difficult-to-access areas; the quick and simple setup of the RSA-161A is streamlined for repeated operation and requires no modifications to the user’s equipment.

The Eaton DG1 general-purpose drive is part of the Eaton next-generation PowerXL series of adjustable frequency drives specifically engineered for demanding commercial and industrial applications. With Eaton’s patented Active Energy Control algorithm, these drives are programmed to dynamically adjust their operating point to minimize energy consumption. Eaton’s SC9000 EP medium-voltage drives are engineered to help customers achieve dramatic energy savings while reducing downtime during routine maintenance through an encapsulated powerpole (EP) and modular inverter design. The powerpole inverter with heat pipe technology provides a high power density in a compact footprint while enabling the drives to withstand harsh environmental conditions. By incorporating a 3-level neutral point clamped inverter topology, the drives reduce the number of power switching devices in the inverter, improving reliability. Available up to 75 hp, the ACE Series features a NEMA 7 enclosure with patent-pending active cooling technology that allows a VFD to be housed inside the classified enclosure without the risk of overheating and failing. ACE VFDs allow a motor’s power level to be adjusted exactly to performance needs, significantly lowering energy consumption. Built-in diagnostics constantly monitor equipment information and operating conditions, bringing real-time visibility to potential problems, which can prevent plant downtime.

Integrated safety servo drive

The Allen-Bradley Kinetix 5500 servo drive with integrated safety helps machine builders reduce development and installation time while increasing machine flexibility by using the EtherNet/IP network to streamline machine safety functions. The drive allows safety signals to travel via the same wires and IP addresses used for control and motion.
