UK Government on solar back foot – Tariff confusion continues
With feed-in tariffs (FiT) declared illegal by the UK's High Court, the PV market is in a state of flux with one of its major assets no longer being a factor.
Could PV installations really have reached 26 GW in 2011?
The simple answer is yes. Certainly enough modules and inverters were sold, and if installations really did hit 7.5 GW in Germany then this would undoubtedly mean that at least 26 GW was installed globally last year, with Germany retaining its position as the largest market, followed closely by Italy.
Chinese module suppliers see short-term pain, long-term gain
In spite of recent troubles in the PV industry, many suppliers see the potential growth as very strong, which will help the industry long-term.

The market is down, but should improve depending on stabilizing module prices. The overall market future looks bright for the next five years, however.
