s should be educated about what they are, possible scenarios of their release, how they may be detected, and how buildings may be ‘immunized’ against such threats. At the same time, engineers and architects need to address the building’s overall impact on the environment as security and other measures are put in place. Safety and sustainability can work hand-in-hand to protect occupants and preserve the environment.”
