Softening up seals

Problem: Installing new seals in a hydraulic or pneumatic system might be a chore because of seal stiffness. Warming new seals often softens them nicely, but what if no hot plate is available?

Solution: In the field, seals can be at least partially softened by placing them under your armpit for a few minutes.
