Siemens honors five companies for excellence

Siemens Energy & Automation, Inc. recognized five U.S. companies for outstanding achievement in the implementation and use of Siemens technology during the 2006 Siemens Automation Summit held at the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas, June 6-8.

Siemens president Aubert Martin presented the Siemens Customer Excellence Award to Air Products and Chemicals, Astec Industries, CoilPro Machinery, E&I Sales and Prism Systems at an evening management reception held during the Siemens 2006 Automation Summit.

“The Customer Excellence Award honors our customers who have shown ingenuity and creativity in deploying Siemens leading edge technology and products,” Martin said. “They have gone the extra mile to help end users achieve the greatest return on investment and we greatly appreciate their commitment to Siemens.”

The Customer Excellence Awards were open to end-user and OEM manufacturing companies that use Siemens technology. A panel of Siemens senior and product management representatives selected the recipients of the awards. The winners include:

Air Products and Chemicals – Wichita , KS

Based in eastern Pennsylvania’s LehighValley near Allentown, and operating in 30 countries, Air Products is a supplier of gases, chemicals, and equipment to high growth markets, including electronics, performance materials, refinery hydrogen and energy, and healthcare.

Astec Industries – Chattanooga , TN

Astec manufacturers specialized equipment for building and restoring the world’s infrastructure. Astec’s manufacturing operations are divided into four business segments: aggregate processing and mining equipment; asphalt production equipment; mobile asphalt paving equipment, and underground drilling and trenching equipment.

CoilPro Machinery – Southington , CT

CoilPro designs and manufactures custom-built machinery for all facets of the coil processing industry. CoilPro’s production program includes slitters to process ferrous and non-ferrous materials, rewinders for conventional or traverse wound spools, single strand and multi strand, and other specialty equipment.

E&I Sales – Tulsa , OK

E&I Sales distributorship staff has well established guidelines for success. The two primary company objectives are outstanding customer service and establishing the most competitive prices available.

Prism Systems – Mobile , AL
