Suitable for use with both Foundation fieldbus and Profibus PA and a Foundation fieldbus power supply, the segment protector acts as an interface between the trunk cable and other field devices. The hot-swappable T-bus connection system allows for expansion of the system or segment. The line is available at a size of 5.25 millimeters per spur for a 10-spur installation. Components are rated EEx nA and are approved for Class 1, Division 2 hazardous locations. The power supply is certified FF-831 and provides power to the Foundation fieldbus H1 segment according to IEC 61158-2. It supplies 25 V and 360 mA with minimal heat dissipation while supporting redundant 24-V bulk power.
