PTDA Foundation makes Russell executive director

Phyllis Russell to oversee fundraising and relationship development in support of the foundation’s workforce development initiative and to work to improve awareness of industrial distribution as rewarding career choice.

The Power Transmission Distributors Association Foundation announced this week the appointment of Phyllis Russell as executive director.links students to career paths in industrial distribution through partnerships with local educators and employers. In her role, Russell will work closely with other allied associations to improve awareness of industrial distribution as a rewarding career choice.


“The PTDA Foundation is taking on the challenge of bringing a new generation of enthusiastic, highly qualified people to careers in industrial distribution,” says Russell. “I look forward to working with leaders in industrial distribution, educators and partners across North America to successfully meet thischallenge through innovation, effective communication, collaboration and state-of-the-art curricula.”


Prior to joining the PTDA Foundation, Russell served as chief executive director of Work, Welfare & Families: An Illinois Coalition Working to End Poverty. In her nearly sevenyears there, she facilitated a statewide coalition of human service providers, advocates and others working with or on behalf of low-income families.
