BL programmable gateways are IP67-rated and use local network logic to perform complex tasks. They may be used to control a variety of I/O including digital, analog, serial and RFID. The programmable gateways can be used in standalone situations or to reduce PLC load and network traffic in larger installations with Modbus TCP/IP, EtherNet/IP and PROFIBUS networks. The free software uses popular IEC 61131-3 programming techniques. Programming formats include ladder logic, structured text, flow-charting and the use of function blocks, which enables users to create code once and use it in multiple instances.
