Use an official entry form rules sheet . Feel free to make copies of it, if appropriate, but only entries using this form will be accepted. Please read all the rules carefully! All information on the entry form must be provided. An entry fee payment of $195.00 must accompany your entry.

Application Deadline September 8, 2006.

All materials for the entry, including the entry fee payment of $195.00, must be received in PLANT ENGINEERING ‘s editorial offices by this deadline. There will be no exceptions or extensions.

Any new plant engineering-related product introduced for purchase between October 1, 2005, and September 30, 2006, is eligible.

In the November issues of PLANT ENGINEERING , we publish our Product of the Year finalists, as chosen by a panel of industry experts. A special ballot allows readers to vote for their top fivechoices in the contest.

Some products reflect the current sophisticated, high-tech world, while others represent pure simplicity of design. All of our winners, however, have been honored for creating an especially useful product for the plant engineer.

Gold, Silver, and Bronze winners are announced in each of 16 categories, plus a Grand Award winner. Awards are presented at a black-tie reception during the National Plant Engineering and Management Show in March.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Addendum to

Background: Over the past few years, PLANT ENGINEERING has received several questions regarding the newness and market introduction dates of products entered in the awards program. Therefore, in fairness to all entrants, the following rule was added in 2001.

Verification of product introductory date. Each entry must be accompanied by evidence verifying when the product was first available for purchase. Examples of such evidence might include, but are not limited to, a dated general press release announcing introduction of the product, sales and promotion materials clearly indicating time of product introduction, copies of internal correspondence indicating product introduction or sales/marketing plans, sworn statement from an officer of the company, etc. Failure to provide such evidence may result in disqualification of the entry.

Any new plant engineering-related product introduced for purchase between October 1, 2005 and September 30, 2006, is eligible. So don’t delay.
