Power supplies, panels and PLCs at offshore technology show
Wago released three products at OTC 2019 designed to improve energy efficiency and communication.
Electrical and electronics supplier Wago introduced three products at OTC: its Pro 2 power supplies, which feature high efficiency, have built-in ECB, and are communication-enabled; the Touch Panel 600 line of control, visualization and web panels; and Sparkplug programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
The company said its Pro 2 Series, with six power supply units ranging from 120 to 960 W, provides an energy conversion efficiency of up to 96%. The power supplies permit easy fieldbus connection via snap-on type communication modules and incorporate an interface that can be tailored to any application. Features include:
- Combined exceptional high-power density with excellent efficiency
- Performance-enhancing TopBoost which delivers 600% extra output current
- A PowerBoost that provides an additional 150% output current for five seconds.
An IO-Link module will be available at launch, with other modules for protocols such as Modbus RTU and Modbus TCP.
