Just as many people make resolutions at the start of a new year, OSHA has created a strategic plan to carry the organization into the year 2000. Some of their goals include:

1. Improve workplace safety and health for all workers, as evidenced by fewer hazards, reduced expo- sures, and fewer injuries, illnesses, and fatalities.

2. Change workplace culture to in- crease employer and worker aware- ness of, commitment to, and in- volvement with safety and health.

3. Secure public confidence in the development and delivery of OSHA’s programs and services.
