New Standard Institute will receive a Connecticut Quality Improvement Award (CQIA) Innovation Prize in the category of Education and Training at an award ceremony on Oct. 29. Other award recipients in this category are Fairfield University, Norwalk Community College, Praxair, and the University of Hartford. The Connecticut Quality Improvement Award is the nation’s first state level quality award using the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award for Performance Excellence and Innovation criteria in a campaign to advance innovative programs that improve quality, performance and marketplace competitiveness.

"We are very pleased to once again win an award from the Connecticut Quality Innovation Association," said New Standard Institute President Michael V. Brown.

According to the CQIA, "the Innovation Prize is meant to stimulate interest in organizations to implement quality while fostering recognition of innovative improvements". Awards recognize manufacturing and service companies, health care, education, government and other not-for-profit organizations.
