The Model 289 industrial trending digital multimeter features automatic safety features like ghost voltage detection, filters for variable-frequency drive (VFD) output readings, and onscreen help. Its TrendCapture capability allows users to set the meter up to record ac voltage on a circuit, exercise loads at a remote location on that circuit, and return to the meter and view a display of the circuit’s performance during the exercise. It also measures low resistances with 0.001 ohm resolution, and the measuring circuit uses a much higher measurement current than normal ohms functions to increase accuracy of low-resistance readings.
