Material Handling Industry of America makes Forger senior vice president

Former Modern Materials Handling editorial director covered material handling since 1984.

Gary Forger has been appointed senior vice president of professional development for Material Handling Industry of America . Forger served most recently as editorial director for Reed Business Information publication Modern Materials Handling magazine and has more than 30 years of journalistic experience. He has covered the material handling and logistics industry and the use of its technology in warehousing, distribution and manufacturing since 1984.

Prior to joining Modern Materials Handling , Forger was an editor with Plastics World , Materials Engineering and Plastics Engineering magazines. He has received numerous editorial awards, including the Jesse H. Neal Certificate of Merit %%MDASSML%% the business press equivalent of the Pulitzer Prize %%MDASSML%% for the 1992 article, “Desert Storm: Unleashing the Might of Materials Handling.” Additional awards include the Cahners Editorial Medal of Excellence and American Society of Business Press Editors honors.
Forger currently serves on the College Industry Council on Material Handling Education (CICMHE) and is vice president of the Material Handling Education Foundation.
