Machine keyways in-place on large shafts

Model 424 keyway cutting machine mounts on shaft diameters from 1 1/2-24 in. The tool uses standard 1/2-in. shank end mills and features a unique bull pin design that permits the cutting head to pivot either side of center to produce keyways from 1/4-1 1/4-in. wide, up to 2-in. deep, and 6-in. long and then return to the centerline. Tapered roller bearings, no-load gibs, and a sealed feed screw provide smooth operation.
