The compact MAB-100, designed by Danaher Motion, uses an air bearing guide-way to deliver precise, frictionless, straight-line motion up to 100 mm in length. The unit is driven by a non-contact, brushless servo motor and does not contain any re-circulating bearings or anti-creep mechanisms, thus eliminating distortion caused by friction, heat and debris. Position feedback is provided by a linear optical encoder with a resolution of up to 5 nanometers. MAB-100 units have a load capacity of 2.5 kg. Danaher Motion www.danahermotion.com
