The Microgage 2D combines a laser transmitter with a receiver and digital display. The laser moves across the receiver in a vertical or horizontal direction to display a reading of the motion, accurate to 0.001 inch, and the laser operates at a distance of more than 100 feet. The battery-operated laser, machined out of solid aluminum with a hard-anodized coating, features a serial USB interface that connects to a laptop or PC.
