      Plant located in Morrow, GA (20 minutes outside of downtown Atlanta)
      1200 employees, (Salad and Fruit Plant) very diverse workforce
      3 shifts in Salad/2 shifts in Fruit

      Position reports to : General Manager
      Direct Reports : Maintenance Manager, Plant Utilities Manager and Packaging Tech Manager

      Job Responsibilities:

    • Provide engineering support for multiple projects requiring layout, installation, controls, and mechanical.

    • Act as Project Manager for specific projects within the region.

    • Develop project specifications and gain approval for capital and expense projects while demonstrating a ROI of all capital projects.

    • Works with production on startup and training of new equipment and systems.

    • Provide support to plant maintenance groups including packaging, buildings and grounds, and utilities.

    • Responsible for the PSM program, plan shut downs, and ensure that all preventative maintenance is completed.

    • Employee Involvement/Staff DevelopmentWork with the Human Resources to provide feedback to staff members to improve productivity and build a high performance team.

    • Assure that staff managers have a solid understanding of employee involvement and team operating principles.

    • Assure that a positive environment is maintained which assures employee retention and on-the-job productivity and engagement.

    • Create a culture of conversations using Performance Management Tools to build a high performance team

      • Safety:

      • Demonstrate to unit employees that safety is a top priority and an important part of the value system

      • Work with Safety Manager to establish safety committees, accurate reporting, training, and incentives to stress safety.

      • Assure that the unit complies with all federal, state, and local regulations on safety.

        • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

        • Minimum of 10 years experience as a Project Engineer, and management and /or leadership.

          • BSME, BSEE, BSIT, BSCHME, BSCE or related degree.

          • Strong management and interpersonal skills, as well as demonstrated competence required communicating effectively and maintaining solid-working relationships at all levels.

          • The successful candidate must be capable of developing a strong team approach and exhibiting leadership skills in the areas of the facility.

          • Must be able to use MS Project, AutoCAD, & Office applications.

            • DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

              Previous Food Experience a plus.
              Proficient in Allen Bradley PLC programming software (RS Logix 500 and 5000).
              Have in-depth knowledge of the Allen Bradley hardware platforms (Control Logix, SLC series and Micro series of PLC’s/all Allen Bradley MCC).

              Systems Engineer Air-Cooled Chillers
              $75K- $90K
              Education: Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with an emphasis on fluid mechanics and heat transfer is required.
              Experience:

              Control Systems Engineer
              $80K – $90K
              Education: Masters Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering with an emphasis on controls system integration.
              Experience:





              Systems Engineer – Water-Cooled Chiller
              $75K – $90K
              Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
              Experience:


              Service Engineer — Water-Cooled Chillers
              $70K – $85K
              Education: Bachelors Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is required.
              Experience: 4+ years of experience in the HVAC industry and service experience with screw and reciprocating chillers and their control systems.

              Lead Designer — Air-Cooled Chillers and Split Systems
              Lead Designer — Water-Cooled Chillers
              $60K — $70K
              Education: Associates Degree in Mechanical Design is required.
