Safety networking system

Safety at Work (SaW) system integrates standard mechanical safety devices into most standard PLCs and operates on one 2-wire flat cable that carries power and signal to each safety device, eliminating the need to wire them to the main cabinet individually. Using the AS-i protocol, the system is comprised of a safety monitor, control platform interface, safety input modules, and SaW e-stop buttons. Safety monitor and control platform interface reside in main control cabinet and are responsible for translation of network safety messages. Safety input modules and e-stop buttons interface directly with mechanical switching components in the field. Safety monitor evaluates code sequences learned during startup.

Safety relays

PSR compact safety relays in ME 22.5 mm housings are equipped with 2-8 normally-open (NO) release current paths and one normally-closed (NC) signaling current path. Modules are available with screw and spring terminations and are designed according to EN50 178 with reinforced isolation. Safety circuit is controlled with one or two channels, with cross-circuit detection for safety Category 4.
