IBM Maximo launches new version of EAM Resource Center
Based on last year’s original version, the redesigned online resource offers new tools for users to optimize their EAM applications.
IBM recently relaunched its online EAM Resource Center at www.eamresourcecenter.com . The free Website aims to be a comprehensive resource on the business and best practices of enterprise asset management.
Built with knowledge and experience garnered from Maximo ’s time in the marketplace, the new EAM Resource Center offers visitors a center of best practices, technical issues and thought leadership for use by EAM professionals. The re-vamped site contains many new features, including updated content, new topic areas, a new navigational layout and personal recommendation functionality.
Both independent- and IBM Maximo-authored content provides visitors diverse research, discussion and educational tools and information. The center’s EAM maturity model improvement blueprint enables users to compare their EAM operations against industry best practices. Using this tool, users can create a personalized improvement plan with a custom impact forecast. They can also see how their service organization stacks up against others in the business in the delivery of high-quality asset management service.
“This 2.0 version of the EAM Resource Center provides new and useful information that our EAM customers can reference any time they need,” said Bill Sawyer, vice president, Maximo Operations, IBM Tivoli Software.
The redesigned site was built upon areas of interest and high traffic that the original site, which debuted in early 2007, generated. Cross-industry information topics provided by the EAM Resource Center include asset management, work management, and the convergence of information technology and operational technology (IT and OT). Industry topics include government, Chemicals and Petroleum, Nuclear Generation, and more. The site combines searchable static content like white papers, articles, analyst reports, and brochures with helpful Web links with interactive content such as polls, Webcasts, RSS feeds and blogs from third-party content providers.
