The HVAC Meter Kit includes a rugged TRMS multimeter with NCV detection and 30:1 Ultra Wide-Range IR Thermometer with K Port. The Meter Kit offers 19 functions over 48 ranges. It measures AC/DC voltage and current, resistance, capacitance, frequency and duty cycle, and checks for continuity and diode integrity. It can operate in auto or manual ranging mode and is drop-resistant to a height of 6 ft. The IR thermometer measures surface temperature using one of two methods: non-contact (via an IR thermometer with laser pointer) or contact (via a K-type bead thermocouple probe). Readings are displayed on a backlit 5-digit LCD.
