HMIs: NASCAR pit crews, Vista users get Simatic options

Human machine interface news of both the hardware and software variety came out of the exiderdome experience in Chicago, presented by Siemens Energy & Automation. On the software side, Siemens Simatic WinCC Version 7.0 has been adapted to Microsoft Windows Vista, while retaining compatibility with older systems. On the hardware side, Siemens announced that its Simatic Panel PCs are being used by the NASCAR pit crews of Gillett Evernham Motorsports (GEM).
