Hinged shaft collars

By Plant Engineering Staff March 2, 2007

Hinged shaft collars can provide the same holding power as standard two-piece collars but feature a triple-link hinge and a captive clamping screw to facilitate use. Designed for easy installation in tight spaces, the hinged shaft collars are also suited for applications requiring frequent repositioning and maintenance. Available in steel and two grades of stainless, the collars have a smooth bore for protecting expensive shafts, will not crush thin-wall tubing and can be modified with tapped holes on the face or O.D. for attaching sensors.
