Permatex gasket makers are non-corrosive, form-in-place compounds that require no mixing and cure at room temperature. Available in three technologies — elastomeric rubber, silicone rubber, and anaerobic — the gaskets resist weathering and thermal cycling. The low-odor, thixotropic paste variety withstands continuous service temperatures from -75 to 450 F; its elastomeric rubber design fills gaps to 0.25 inches. Applications include gearboxes, stamped-sheet-metal covers, compressors, pumps, valve covers and oil pans. A silicone formula offers 350% elongation and is formulated for bonding oil-contaminated metals.
