Fairmount Minerals receives Trowbridge award

The National Association of Manufacturers recently announced that Fairmount Minerals of Chardon, OH, was awarded the inaugural NAM Sandy Trowbridge Award for Excellence in Community Service. A producer of industrial sand, Fairmount Minerals maintains locations primarily in the Midwest.

Trowbridge served as Secretary of Commerce during the Carter Administration before assuming the helm of the NAM, and was widely known for his commitment to public service and various charitable causes. Following his death in 2006, friends and former colleagues at the NAM created the award in his honor.
