Expanded NFPA Website offers code information
Updates on NEC and safety tips available at necconnect.org
The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) has launched necconnect.org, a free online resource for installers and contractors, designers and engineers, code enforcers, and policy makers for all things related to the NEC. The site will provide news, information, tips, learning resources and networking opportunities related to NFPA 70, National Electrical Code. It is a place where participants can engage with others who share an interest in electrical safety. The NEC sets the standard for safe electrical installations in homes, businesses, industry and institutions.
“The new site educates readers about the latest in electrical safety, wiring, guidelines, and equipment, along with upcoming electrical code updates, tips and the latest social updates from the NFPA,” NEC officials said in a press release, calling necconnect.org, “A ‘go-to’ source for learning, sharing and networking with those in the business of residential and industrial electrical safety.
The site includes a constantly updated selection of on-demand multi-media presentations, industry articles and downloadable tools and technical content. Participants who opt to join by signing in, which is also free, gain access to premium content and features that are only available to subscribers.
“Subscribers are encouraged to become involved in creating content for the site by sharing experiences, viewpoints and offering feedback that will be used to create content that is most relevant to members of the site and will guide its growth,” NEC officials said.
