The VpCI-368 EVP corrosion-inhibiting coating is more powerful with the addition of extra vapor-phase corrosion inhibitors. VpCI-368 is designed to provide protection for metal substrates exposed to harsh outdoor conditions. The dark brown, viscous liquid dries into a firm moisture-displacing, wax-like film that can be removed by mineral spirits or alkaline cleaners. The film can be used for a variety of applications where heavy-duty corrosion protection is needed such as parts storage, underbody coating, wire rope, steel plate, machined parts, etc. VpCI-368 EVP (Extra Vapor Protection) is also designed for application in complex, sealed spaces where a greater concentration of vapor inhibitor is beneficial. The extra dose of VpCI vaporizes from the coating, fills the enclosed space, and adsorbs on difficult-to-reach surfaces. This is helpful on applications such as pipe internals where it is challenging to thoroughly cover all metal substrates.
