Automaker to cut workforce with payout package to hourly workers

Reuters is reporting that Chrysler plans to fulfill its plan to reduce its workforce by 10,000 by offering buyout packages worth up to $100,000 to its hourly line employees. The plan is similar to those offered by Ford and General Motors as domestic automakers look to reduce the size of its workforce.
