Bearing isolator program tries on process plants

Under the terms of a new program, Rock Island, IL-based Inpro/Seal Company will supply interested process plants with up to 1,000 bearing isolators on a trial basis. The bearing isolators will accommodate the retrofit of various pump, motor, fan and other rotating-equipment applications needed to provide bearing protection. The plant will install the bearing isolators and agree to use Inpro/Seal-branded bearing isolators over a pre-determined period of time.
Through the duration of the program, Inpro/Seal will share in one-half of the net savings obtained by converting to bearing isolators. A specific formula, based on historical plant data, will be used to calculate savings over a 36-month period. Production and downtime savings are excluded from the formula. An independent accounting firm will establish the necessary historical benchmarks.
