Individuals interested in becoming Lean certified can take the first step by attending one of two upcoming seminars sponsored by the Association for Manufacturing Excellence.

“This is an excellent chance for those who are interested in pursuing Lean certification to start the process,” said Danny Jones, spokesperson for the Southeastern Regional Board for AME. “Lean certification is awarded based on experience, education and mentoring. These two seminars allow participants to learn what the certification is all about, what will be on the Lean exam and then give them an opportunity to take the test.”

After they’ve taken the test, participants will be required to assemble a portfolio to be reviewed by the Certification Review Panel. Bronze Certification is granted upon the portfolio’s approval.
