AFE certification coming in September
Start studying now for Certified Plant Engineer certificate
September is still five months off — plenty of time to get in the studying needed for the 2007 certification classes through the Association for Facilities Engineering. The 2007 Certified Plant Engineer exam will be conducted Sept. 17-20 in Cincinnati, and the Certified Plant Maintenance Manager testing is Sept. 10-13 in Cincinnati.
The CPE testing will provide information about electrical engineering, maintenance, safety, energy, controls/instrumentation, and HVAC. The CPMM classes cover maintenance management, preventive maintenance, inventory and procurement, work orders, work flow, planning and scheduling, computerized maintenance management, total productive maintenance, maintenancefinancials and return on investment.
Study guides are available at an additional fee, and AFE members receive a discount.
