Problem: Too often, air line oilers are incorrectly adjusted so that equipment receives too little or too much oil.

Solution: Make a calibration kit for each maintenance person to carry. The kit should contain six items: 1/4-in. pipe cap with a 1/16-in. orifice hole drilled in it, 1/4 X 2-in. nipple, and 3/8 X 1/4, 1/2 X 1/4, 3/4 X 1/4, and 1 X 1/4-in. adapter bushings. Place the items in a six-compartment box, and attach a copy of the adjustment chart to the lid of the box.
