Additive manufacturing takes center stage at IMTS
The Additive Manufacturing Workshop at IMTS on Sept. 9 is designed to bring together manufacturing professionals who are interested in or are already applying additive manufacturing as a production resource.
The explosion of additive manufacturing technology since the 2012 IMTS Show has turned a once futuristic concept into mainstream understanding. At the 2014 IMTS show, Sept. 8-13 at Chicago’s McCormick Place, attendees will get a chance to expand their knowledge of additive manufacturing and its applicability in today’s manufacturing plant.
The goal of the Additive Manufacturing Workshop at IMTS on Sept. 9 is to bring together manufacturing professionals who are interested in or are already applying additive manufacturing as a production resource. More than a 3D printing seminar, this workshop will focus on industrial applications of additive technologies for making functional components and end-use production parts.
For the first time, the EOS NAUD is open to both EOS customers and all attendees of IMTS. On Sept. 10 participants will learn about the latest developments in industrial 3D printing/Additive Manufacturing including direct metal laser sintering (DMLS) and plastics laser-sintering directly from EOS, a world leader in laser-sintering solutions.
CFE Media will sponsor the 2014 Global Automation and Manufacturing Summit on Sept. 10 starting at 8:15 a.m. in Room W190 in the West Wing of McCormick Place.
