ABB, Baldor combine sales force
ABB and Baldor plan to combine their U.S. sales forces selling low- and medium-voltage industrial drives and electric motors.
ABB and Baldor will combine their U.S. sales forces in a move the company believes will streamline the sale of the complete line of low- and medium-voltage industrial drives and industrial electric motors. In a press release, company officials said the move, which follows the purchase of Baldor by ABB last year, will deliver a single point of contact for customers looking to purchase industrial motors, drives, and generators.
“By selling them through the same sales force as Baldor industrial electric motors, we also can provide them with the high level of customer service they expect,” said Aaron Aleithe, vice president and general manager low-voltage drives for ABB U.S. “We believe this transition will make buying industrial motors and drives easier for our customers.”
“By pairing a Baldor premium-efficient motor with an ABB industrial drive, customers have the opportunity to further decrease their energy consumption significantly,” added Ron Tucker, CEO and president of Baldor. “ABB and Baldor both have a long history of manufacturing industrial electric motors and drives. Together, we believe we can take better care of our industrial customers than anyone else.”
