Jerry’s contributions
“Jerry has spent his entire career improving manufacturing operations,” said Rob Gellings, vice president of operations. “He started his career as an engineer providing automation solutions to major manufacturing companies. From there he moved to engineering process management for a major cement manufacturer where he progressed to be the operations manager for the same company. He later returned to the services industry managing automation projects for major manufacturers and has progressed to operations manager with responsibility for all automation projects in the four office regions. In this role, Jerry provides leadership and guidance to over 100 manufacturing automation professionals.”
Why a career in manufacturing?
“U.S. manufacturing continues to make the United States a leader in safety, innovation, environmental stewardship, and the development of intellectual property. The drive that I have in manufacturing is fueled by the continued growth in technology and the challenge of delivering the best product (goods or services) money can buy. As a young engineer I learned that settling for status quo in manufacturing would only lead to subpar results, followed by subpar performance. The freedom to drive for results has inspired me to work harder and do my part in sustaining the best manufacturing country in the world.”
