Mohamed’s contributions

“I’ve known Mohamed for over two years through his prior academic and research positions at the Center for Intelligent Maintenance Systems (IMS) at the University of Cincinnati where he managed several industry-driven research projects with IMS member companies,” said Franz Gruber, CEO of the FORCAM plant in Cincinnati. “Mohamed has the academic, industrial, and entrepreneurial spirit and skills to lead. He is a jack-of-all-trades and leads FORCAM’s U.S. market penetration efforts in a multi-role position where he oversees sales, operations, marketing, human resources, and project management. He is hardworking, dedicated, and result-driven. His main focus is to lead technology implementations of FORCAM’s systems at customer sites for improved manufacturing productivity and overall equipment effectiveness.”

Why a career in manufacturing?

“Having been educated and trained as a systems and industrial engineer throughout my career, I have always been attracted to the commercialization of advanced manufacturing technologies and associated business models. To further gain the needed skills, I’ve captured the needed experiences by working anywhere from academic and research institutes (both domestic and international) to corporate industries (internships, projects, consultancies, etc.) down to the shop floor (directly on a grinding machine or a lathe). I appreciate learning new technologies and seeing their impact on manufacturing productivity and operator/worker knowledge enhancement and support.”
