It’s time again to put the vote in the hands of the people. The 2008 PLANT ENGINEERING Product of the Year voting begins Nov. 17, 2008, when electronic ballots are emailed to all eligible readers who have direct buying authority and purchasing responsibility in America’s manufacturing plants.

At a time when improving efficiency in manufacturing plants has never been more important, the products featured here represent the best new ideas to help manufacturers operate safer, smarter and faster.

It’s also an opportunity to evaluate new products that can help your plant achieve these goals. That makes the choice for this year’s Product of the Year winners an important one.

Entries have been received from all over the world, and our panel of experts have juried the entries to narrow them down to the finalists on the following pages. Vote for the product in each category you think delivers the greatest value to manufacturing. The top three in each category will receive the Product of the Year trophy at the 2009 Manufacturing Summit in Charleston, SC. The product with the single highest vote total from all product finalists will receive the 2008 Grand Award, won last year by Ramsay Corporation.

Only PLANT ENGINEERING readers eligible to vote for Product of the Year will receive a link to their electronic ballot via email. Duplicate ballots or ballots from those not eligible to vote will not be accepted.
