The MERV 8 30/30 air filter has low initial resistance and a low maintained resistance to airflow. The radial pleat design facilitates use of the media in a maximum dust-holding capacity, and a welded wire grid, spot-welded on 1-inch centers, secures the pleats. An all-mechanical filter, rather than electrostatic, allows it to maintain consistent efficiency throughout its life. The air filter is UL-rated for low flammability as Class 2 and is available in 2- and 4-inch configurations.
