Site from Fisher-Rosemount lets you build your own virtual plant and evaluate the economics of process automation by easily modifying the existing sample plant to your specifications. Easy-to-use, drag-and-drop interface hides a set of powerful, industry-specific models based on typical process configurations and automation strategies. Users can customize the models by adding or deleting process areas, units, or devices; or adjusting such variables as labor rates and average wire run. The effect of the modifications on control-room, drawing, wiring, and commissioning costs is immediately shown. Information on PlantWeb field-based architecture and associated products and technologies is included.
