St. Louis-based Watlow recently opened a new, 6,000-square-foot technology design center in Los Gatos, CA. The facility will employ or deploy systems and application testing, thermal modeling and product support for applications such as process chamber and gas line heater manufacturing. It is also equipped to test product solutions under real-world conditions.
“The new engineering center is designed specifically for Watlow customers in the semiconductor industry who face increasing pressure to shorten product development and cycle times,” explained Tony Page, semiconductor key accounts manager.
As part of this initiative, Watlow created two new groups for customer support — the Systems Test Group, which provides systems-based testing; and the Applications Group, which offers application assistance, project management and quick-turn prototyping.
